Our Love Story

Blair and I met through the online dating service called Match.com, and it was an incredible start. She reached out to me first, and even though I went weeks without checking my profile, her message stood out the moment I logged in. We quickly exchanged phone numbers and spent hours on the phone building a genuine connection. After one week, I knew just chatting wasn't enough; I needed to meet her in person. We scheduled a date at Brio Italian Grill, and the chemistry was undeniable from the moment we met. She became my best friend. On December 27, 2024, I proposed to her in New Orleans, a city I had always envisioned for this special moment. I may not have had every detail planned, but I knew that the moment would be extraordinary. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Doris Metropolitan, seated in a cozy, private room that set the perfect mood. The laughter we shared with the other guests created an unforgettable atmosphere. Just as a table of four got up to leave, I seized the moment, proposed, and confidently awaited her response. Her enthusiastic "yes" marked the beginning of our exciting journey together.

Gerard is my cousin, but we grew up more as brothers. He has been my A1 from day 1 and we have seen the ups and downs together. From hanging at each other's house to the rumble in Thibodeaux to the squeaky step in Larose to the days on the Yard at Southern and beyond, Gerard has and is one of the closest people I have in my life.

Paige (as I call him) and I met at Southern University Law Center some 30+ years ago. In school, if you saw Paige, you saw me and if you saw me, Paige was there. We celebrated some of the best moments in our lives together and helped each other through some very difficult times. Paige is truly one of the best men I know.

Clarence is my oldest cousin on my dad's side (we're only one year apart, but I like reminding him he's older). As kids we weren't in close proximity with him living in California, but we always remained tight knit. He is the definition of family and someone that can always be counted on.

Max is also a cousin but more like a confidant. Max and I talk/text often and nothing is off limits. We keep each other in check and call out the BS if needed.
